“2025 CTBC TAIPEI 101 RUN UP” takes the spirit of charity to new height. Leading by TAIPEI 101, we rally through the impact of sports and put in action to support children youths for cultivating their skills and chasing their dreams. This year, we invited the founder of Basegarden, CHOU Szu-Chi as the charity ambassador. Make every step a messenger of love and the change to the world. This time, we transform the spirit of sportsmanship into philanthropic energy, bringing more warmth and hope to the world. Let’s TEAM UP and RUN UP FOR LOVE together!
Established in 2004 by the current chairman, Jeffrey Koo, Jr. upholding the CTBC value of "We Are
Family", they
actively engage in public welfare, dedicate to caring for and supporting underprivileged children and
families.
Since 1985, the “Light up a Life” fundraising campaign rally the public every year. The
campaign sets a
precedent of corporate charity fundraising in Taiwan, keeps pursuing the humble happiness of the kids
in underprivileged
family.
“Love for kid”, nurturing this land with love, and always believing that lighting a lamp for children
can create a ripple effect where lives inspire lives. This cycle of love has the power to spark
meaningful change.
Basegarden was founded in 2013 by the professional baseball player, CHOU Szu-Chi, Not only does he
dedicate to
education of the grassroots baseball development in his hometown Hualien, but also the history and
cultural
inheritance of baseball.
The funds will be used to establish scholarships and promote reading among grassroots baseball. The
primary goal is to
encourage well-rounded young athletes, hoping that children who love baseball will receive high
quality education. While
improving baseball skills, their academic performance will also be balanced.
The core value of Basegarden is to emphasize the importance of foundational education and character
development for
grassroots baseball. Through the association's efforts, hoping to raise awareness and encourage more
people to get
involved.
Teach For Taiwan is non-profit organization dedicated to promoting high standard educational equity.
Aiming to nurture
talent and
collaborate with practice teaching to address issue of educational inequity.
By cultivating talents who can make the change in the education system, we work with schools and
communities to create a
better educational environment for children. Meanwhile, we actively collaborate with various sectors
of
society,
connecting resources, and advocating for public and policy initiatives to drive a movement for fair
development.
We hope that one day, all children in Taiwan, regardless of their background, will have access to
quality education and
opportunities for self-development.
World Vision is a global organization devoting in aid, development, advocacy. They dedicate to
helping the most
vulnerable children and families in nearly 100 countries across six continents, assisting them in
escaping from poverty and
hardship.
Currently, with approximately 600 social workers across the country, World Vision Taiwan
dedicate to the
service such as education and nutrition support, family development and community empowerment, child
protection,
disaster relief, and family assistance.
Each year, they accompanies around 44,000 underprivileged children and families, helping them navigate
through
difficulties and bringing them hope for change.
