“Remark 1”The successful applicants of “Individual” who also want to enroll in the “Elite” race category, are required to fulfill the qualifications below:

Qualifications
- Individuals aged 15-69 (born between 1949 to 2003) are eligible to participate in the race event. However, individuals under 18 years old (born between 2000 to 2003) are required to provide the Acknowledgement and Authorization Declaration Form with his/her legal agent or guardian’s signature after completing the registration and payment by April 12, 2018. Please submit the Form by mail to P.O. Box 47-110, Taipei 103, Taiwan and attn to: “2018 CTBC‧TAIPEI 101 Run Up Team”. Individuals shall not be allowed to participate in the race if the Form cannot be provided on time.
- Elite: The quotas are limited to 100 runners. Only the runners who are the TWA members invited by
the Organizer or met the “A” Qualifying Standards (please refer to the “Remark 1”) conducted during
2016-2018 are eligble to participate in the Elite race. Those individuals who attained the “A” Qualifying Standards are required to mail the
certification copies to P.O. Box 47-110, Taipei 103 Taiwan by post or email to
service@sportsnet.org.tw prior to April 6 2018, please indicate your name along with the title “2018
CTBC‧TAIPEI 101 Run Up”on the envelop or in the email headline. The organizers will review and
select the entries to the Elite race. No TWA points and cash prizes can be awarded if the runners who
has not become the TWA member by May 4 2018.
An applicant failing to submit the proof as required before the Priority Entry registration period closes will be considered as incomplete registration and will not be processed. - Individual: Please submit your registration online, the quotas are limited to 4,000 participants. 1,000 quotas are reserved for CTBC credit card (including VISA debit card) users. Payment transactions must be completed upon registration.
- Corporate Team: Open to all corporate or organizations and each team is formed by 20 members. Number of teams is limited to 30 with eligibility according to entry order. The top three winning teams should provide the proofs to verify that all of the team’s participating members belong to the respective team organization; otherwise, the team will be disqualified from the race and the next fastest team will receive the award.
Special Notice
- All persons may only participate in one type of categories (Elite, Individuals, and Corporate Team). If it has been confirmed that a person has registered or participated in more than one type of categories, the person shall be withdrawn from the race and not be entitled to a refund.
- If it has been confirmed that a person has used banned substances (as listed by the World Anti-Doping Agency [WADA]), or is responsible for any type of fraudulent activity while participating in the race, the person and/or the person of the whole team will be withdrawn from the race (with no ranking nor result) and be subject to further investigation and legal consequences where applicable. No refund will be granted to the disqualified runners or teams.

How to register:
1.Registration Period:
From March 30 2018 (Friday) at 12:00nn to April 6 2018 (Friday) at 17:00 or once the quotas are full.

Register on-line at the 2018 CTBC‧TAIEPI 101 Run Up website: http://www.taipei101-runup.com.tw/
After filling in all of the required information, please select the payment transaction method and make payment by the deadline. No changes to the registration information will be permitted after completing registration. All registered entries can be checked at the CTRRA website (www.sportsnet.org.tw).

Payment can be made by Master Card, VISA or JCB credit card (including VISA debit card) transactions. A acknowledge message will be shown once your registration is submitted. If you experience system error and do not receive any of the above, please contact the bank for the payment status.
Participants are eligible to get 10% off entry fee if they use CTBC credit/debit card to make the payment. The organizers will donate 5% of the registration fee which is paid by CTBC credit/debit card to CTBC Charity Foundation.
7-ELEVEN iBon Payment (additional fee of NT$18 will be charged)
Payment can also be made by 7-ELEVEN ibon kiosk . An order code will be generated after finishing the online registration, then please proceed to the 7-ELEVEN stores to pay the registration fee with the order code. The payment transaction must be completed by 14:00 on the following calendar day in order to successfully complete the registration procedure. - Corporate Team:
All teams must submit the Corporate Team Declaration Form, Team List, Business/Unit/School Registration Certificate and registration fee.
In Person:
Registration and payment can be made in person at the Chinese Taipei Road Running Association (CTRRA). CTRRA Address: Room 206, 2nd Floor, No. 55, Changji St., Datong District, Taipei. Payments at the CTRRA are cash only and the CTRRA office will be closed during public holidays.
By Post:
Please submit the Form with a postal money order (which can be purchased in the Post Office) made payable to “CTRRA” to P.O. Box 47-110, Taipei 103, Taiwan, attn to: “2018 CTBC‧TAIPEI 101 Run Up Team” by mail.
2. Special Items of Attention
- Participants should be aware of and acknowledge the degree of fitness required to complete the TAIPEI 101 Run Up, and understand that once the registration has been completed, no changes to the registration information can be made, including names, categories, race vest sizes. No quota transfer is allowed.
- If you need to cancel the registration after payment, please contact CYRRA by 4 April 2018 (Monday) before 17:00 during the office hours (Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 12:00 and 13:30 to 17:30; telephone: 02-2585 5659). 80% of refund will be made, if you choose the bank transaction, NT$30 will be deducted from the refund payment. No refund request will be allowed after the cancelation deadline.
- L size will be granted in case no size is indicated during the registration. There is no guarantee that your selected size will be available; vest sizes given will be subject to stock availability.

- The organizers will email the Race Pack Collection Notice one week before the race date. Please pick up your race pack by presenting the Race Pack Collection Notice and ID documents during the pick-up period.
- If you are unable to pick up your race pack, you may authorize a representative to pick up your race pack by presenting your Race Pack Collection Notice with his/her ID card. The CTRRA will not be responsible for any mistakes made.
- If you have not received your Race Pack Collection Notice via email before three days of the race, please check your registration info on the CTRRA website and bring your registration info and ID documents with you for picking up your race pack during the pick-up period.
Race Pack Received by Mail (In Taiwan only)
If you wish to receive your race pack by mail, please indicate on the entry form of registration (additional postal fee is required)
- Please provide the mailing address on the entry form for the race pack delivery. The race pack includes the bib number, champion chip and souvenir, and will be mailed to the indicated address during April 30, 2018 to May 2, 2018.
- The CTRRA will not be responsible if the race packs cannot be delivered. If your race pack is returned to the CTRRA, you can pick it up at the CTRRA office during office hours (Monday to Friday 08:30 to 12:00 and 13:30 to 17:30) up to one week after the race event (May 7 – May 11). One week after the race event, all the unclaimed race packs shall be discarded.
- A postage fee must be paid along with the entry fee: Individuals - NT$100 per person, Corporate Team - NT$600 per Team.
Pick Up at the Race Event (Please avoid pick up on race day if possible)
- If you are unable to pick-up your race pack in person before the race date, you may select to pick up your race pack on the race day with an additional cost NT$600. If you do not pick up your race pack on time, you will be disqualified and not permitted to enter the race course.
- Please pick up your race pack at the site from 06:00 to 13:00 by presenting the Race Pack Collection
Notice. No race pack collection will be made after 13:00 on the race day.
Note
Participants who have registered but are not able to pick up their race pack on or before the race day may collect the race packs from May 7 – 11 during working hours (Monday to Friday 8:30am to 12:00pm and 1:30pm to 5:30pm) at the CTRRA Office. All unclaimed race packs will be discarded after the due day.
Race Regulations
- It is the sole responsibility of a participant to ensure that he/she is healthy and physically fit to participate in and complete the race. Participants should understand the risks involved in taking part in the race and acknowledge the fact without any medical assistance. Any person who is suffering from high blood pressure, chronic diseases, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and asthma…etc., should not participate in the race. On the race day, each runner will undergo a health check before taking part in the race. Afterwards, you will then retrieve your qualification number. All runners must run in sequence according to the qualification number. Only the runners with the qualification number may enter the race course.
- If a runner still fails to pass the health check after taking some rest, the runner will be disqualified without any refund.
- Please wear appropriate shoes and clothing for the race and refer to the race bulletin and website for your allotted time slot for the race.
- Race start times may be adjusted depending on the actual conditions. Please follow the on-site staff instructions for the race starting order and instructions.
- Race Timing Chip:
“2018 CTBC‧TAIPEI 101 Run up” will provide runners the race timing chip to record the race times. All runners will receive the chip along with the racing bib and souvenir when checking in. Please refer to the provided instructions or ask one of the staffs at the race site for any inquiries on how to wear the race timing chip. Final race results will be based on the times recorded by the chip and will be displayed or announced by the organizers. - Violations:
Runners who commit the following violations will be disqualified from the competition with no refund.
- Not being fully clothed or wearing proper clothing (for example - no slippers).
- Removal of any clothing items during the race.
- Making loud noises during the race.
- Carrying prohibited items. For safety concern, all belongings such as backpacks, water bottles and any other items which could endanger the safety of participants are prohibited from the race course. Please follow the staffs’ instructions.
- Runners must pass the metal detector inspection before the race, anyone who doesn’t cooperate will be disqualified.
- Use of prohibited substances, non-compliance with the rules or fraudulent activities.
- Runners who commit the following violations will be disqualified and their result will be cancelled with no refund.
- Taking the elevator up or receive assistance from another person or party during the competition is prohibited.
- If you need to take a rest, please inform the staff and follow the directions to the rest area. Please avoid stopping or sitting down in the runner pathway.
- Any runners using substitute runners will be disqualified. They will be banned from future participation in any CTRRA activities or races for up to one year and announced on the website.
- Disputes
- Contestant Disputes: Runners cannot dispute with the referees or officials during the race.
- Dispute Procedure: Should there be any dispute, please inform the organizers within ten minutes after finishing the race. A deposit of NT$3,000 shall be submitted at the same time. If the review committee concludes that the dispute is not justified, then the NT$3,000 deposit will not be returned.
Prizes and Awards
If the amount of cash awarded to an individual is in excess of NT$20,001, 10% tax will be deducted from winners who are citizens of Taiwan, and 20% withholding tax will be deducted from winners who are non-citizens of Taiwan (with proof of ID photocopy)
- Record Breaking Bonus:
A bonus cash prize will be awarded to the fastest runners who are able to set a new TAIPEI 101 Run Up record (Second Round). - Elite Award – Towerunning World Championships
The final overall rankings will be determined based on the points accumulated from the first and second heats of the race. If some runners score the same amount of points, better finish position in the second heat will determinate the final standing.
Elite Ranking and Calculation
First Heat:
The starting order is according to T.W.A. March ranking position, and those with better results will start earlier. T.W.A. points will be awarded to the top 50 male and female elite runners.
Second Heat:
All first heat runners should participate in the second heat. The starting order is same of the first heat. The top 50 male and female runners will receive the T.W.A. points.
T.W.A. Points Table
Both heats will have the same points evaluation for the top 50 male and female runners.
Overall Results
The top 6 overall male and female runners will be awarded cash prizes based on the accumulated points of both heats. If some runners score the same amount of points, better finish position in the second heat will determine the final standing. - Taiwan Champion Award:
To encourage the Taiwanese runners, the Taiwan’s male and female first place winners (either from the Elite or Individuals groups) will receive the cash prize.
Note:If the Taiwan’s male and female first place winners are also the top six Elite winners, they will be awarded Taiwan Champion as well as Elite cash prizes at the same time. - Corporate Team Award:
The top 3 winning teams will be awarded cash prizes, trophies and medals. - All completed runners can obtain their completion certificate before 15:30 on race day at the
designated location.
- The winning records will be announced on the race website after May 10 2018 (Thursday)

Important Information
(please read carefully)
- Do not register if there are any health concerns such as high blood pressure, heart diseases, diabetes, asthma…etc. The organizers will not be held responsible for persons withholding such information.
- Water station service will be set up on several floors between 1F and 91F. For safety precaution, runners are not allowed to take water away from these stations.
- Storage of Personal Belongings:
- If runners wish to check in their personal belongings, please use the race bib number to check in as well as to retrieve your personal belongings. Please follow the instructions in the bulletin and arrive at the baggage deposit area at least 30 minutes beforehand.
- Please do not store any valuable belongings. The organizers will not be responsible for the loss of these or any items.
- Baggage Deposit Time and Locations:
- Please take safety precantion. Please ensure your physical condition before participating in race. The referees or doctors reserve the right to stop the runners taking part in the race without any refund.
- The Race Timing Chip is used to record the race times. Please refer to the instructions or enquire assistance from staff at the site if needed. The organizers will not be held responsible for loss of record on race timing chips due to personal negligence.
- Please keep safe custody of your race timing chips and bib numbers. The Organizers will not replace any lost numbers or chips, resulting in automatic forfeiture from the race.
- All participants shall grant authorization to the organizers for the use of video recording, photos…etc, for promotional and publication purposes.
- Any changes to race information will be announced by the CTRRA. If the race is cancelled due to force majeure, a refund of 50% will be made if the entry fee has been fully paid. Refund Method: For individual participants who paid by credit card, the amount will be automatically refunded into the credit card account ;For those who paid by iBon), money orders will be sent via registered mail to the registered address. For corporate teams, registered mails with money orders will be sent to the team.
- Announcements or revisions to race regulations will be formally announced by the organizers and posted on the CTRRA website.
- In case of discrepancies between the Chinese and English versions,the Chinese version shall prevail. CTRRA and the organizers reserve the right to interpret and amend all rules/terms and conditions.

General Liabilities Insurance
- Doing sport keeps one healthy. Yet, one must ensure his / her adequate sleep the night before the competition, and finish breakfast at least 2 hours before the race. The first-aid service will provide first-aid for emergency situation related to the race. Any complications arising out of any personal illness will not be covered by accident insurance. The organizer will provide general liabilities insurance with coverage of NT$1 million for every runner. (See policy terms for details of the insurance.)
- The insured shall be liable for the compensation of third party injuries, death or property damage in
such occurrence during the policy period. In the case of claims by third parties, we shall be liable to the
insured for:
- Accidents on pathway, the insured or its employees as prescribed in the policy.
- Accidents are happening to the insured inside the buildings, passages, machineries or other work equipment.
- Exclusion by the insurance:
- Injuries due to personal illness.
- Symptoms caused by personal illness, ranging from cardiovascular disorders, shock, heart diseases, heat exhaustion, diabetes, heatstroke, altitude illness, epilepsy, dehydration…etc.
