Q01. When does the registration start?

Q02. Is there age restriction for registration?

Runners must be 15 years or older and under 70 years old. Namely, participants must be born between May 5, 1954 and May 4, 2009.

Q03. Can pregnant women participate?

There is no restriction. However, to assure the safety of pregnant runners, please inform voluntarily during the examination at site and sign the letter of affidavit with the organizer before participating in the race.

Q04. How do I join the TWA Elite?

“TWA Elite” runners are either invited by the Organizer or meet the requirements as stated .Those who are qualified must submit a copy of the record certificate by mail to P.O. Box 47-110, Taipei 103, Taiwan with a subject “ATTN: 2024 TAIPEI 101 RUN UP – NAME” indicated on the envelop or by email sent to service@sportsnet.org.tw before 25 March 2024. Qualifiers will be eligible to enroll in the “TWA Elite” category.

Q05. How do I become a member of Towerrunning World Association (TWA)?

Q06. How many floors are there? How many steps?

2024 TAIPEI 101 RUN UP course starts from the 1st floor and finishes at the 91st floor, totaling 2046 steps. We encourage you to register for the challenge.

Q08. What kind of information is required for group registration?

The team requires 15-20 people per team. The leader can collect the data of all members before registering, including the names, phone numbers, ID numbers (passport number and ARC number), physical gender, date of birth, and size of running vest. We encourage runners to participate in teams.

Q09. Do you get 10% discount off with CTBC credit cards only or VISA debit card also?

Register for the “Self-challenge”, 1,000 participants will be reserved for use with CTBC credit card (including VISA debit card) and 10% discount off. Those who have completed the payment will be considered registration with success.


Questions after registration

Q01. What should I do if there is no receipt number or if the receipt number is 0000?

Do not worry. After the registration, a packet pick-up receipt will be sent by email from CTRRA before 26 April, 2024. In case you do not receive the email, your receipt number will also be available at “Registration Inquiry” section on CTRRA website. https://www.sportsnet.org.tw/

Q02. I received the notice of credit card spending but not the query does not show the name?

Please call the Chinese Taipei Road Running Association at 02-2585-5659 during the business hours (Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 12:00; 13:30 to 17:30) for more information.

Q03. I would like to change the size of clothes and address of home delivery?

For size exchange, please contact CTRRA (02-2585-5659) before 21 March, 2024 by 5PM. There will be no guarantees as sizes are limited. No request for size exchange will be accepted after the deadline.

Q04. How do I get refund?

Please refer to the “Refund Guidelines” of the racing rules for application. Or, call the Chinese Taipei Road Running Association (02-2585-5659) for more information.

Q05. Where can I download the application form for refund?

Q06. My credit card was double-charged but I could not find the registration data?

Please call the Chinese Taipei Road Running Association at 02-2585-5659 during the business hours (Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 12:00; 13:30 to 17:30) for more information.

Q07. Could you help me verify if I have registered successfully?

Q08. How should I change from self-challenge to team?

For self-challenge team, refer to the refund guidelines for application.
Each person is restricted to registering for only one race category listed above. Registering for more than one race category is strictly prohibited. Violator’s eligibility to participate in the race and to collect the race packet will be withdrawn without a refund. No plus ones allowed – those who have not registered are prohibited from entering the race.

Q09. What should I do if I could not participate in the race after the registration?

For self-challenge team, refer to the refund guidelines for application.
Team registration may not request for personal refund of the group nor change the list of participants.


Race related questions

Q01. Do you have the photos of race clothing and medal?

The race clothing and medal have not been announced temporarily. Please wait for the announcement on the official Facebook.

Q02. Can we start the race with our friends?

The starting order in general is sorted by the time of payment completion. However, the organization reserves the right to reserve and adjust the starting order of the participants. The recommended physical examination schedule and estimated starting schedule will be announced in the official website of the event on April 29, 2024.

Q03. What are the items of physical examination?

The participants will need to present the self-examination form at site and take the balance test, body temperature, and blood pressure.

Q04. When can we receive the race packet?

Race packets will be sent by to those who choose to collect them in the mail, starting from 22 April, 2024, to the address indicated during registration. Please be sure to provide correct mailing address in order to avoid any chance of unsuccessful delivery. If you have yet to receive your race pack by 29 April 2024, please contact CTRRA at 02-25855659 during office hours (08:30-12:00; 13:30-17:30).

Q05. What are inside the race packet?

Q06. Can I participate in the race without wearing the race clothing?

It’s not required but we encourage you to wear the race clothing since it will be commemorative.

Q07. Can I carry the mobile phone or camera in the race?

Please refer to the provision on Article 8 of “Regulations” in the racing rules.

Q08. Are the stairs restricted for taking photos?

Due to the spatial restriction and particularity of the race course, and in consideration of the safety of participating runners, it is prohibited to take photos and livestream at the stairs. Please refer to the provision on Article 8 of “Regulations” in the racing rules.。

Q09. Can I bring my own water bottles?

Due to the spatial restriction and particularity of the race course, and in consideration of the safety of participating runners, it is prohibited to hold bottled water with hands to prevent falling objects. There will be water dispensers set up at the race course for runners.

Q10. Where can I find the location of physical examination and storage for runners?

It is located at the Taipei 101 Mall, next to the fountain plaza of TWTC Exhibition Hall 3. There will be guide signs and staff on Shifu Road and Songzhi Road around Taipei 101 to help runners with the guide.

Q11. What time do runners start?

The starting schedule announced by the organizer is the estimated schedule and subject to the announcement broadcasted at site.

Q12. Where are the water dispensers located?

Except for 1F and 91F, there will be water dispensers on all floors of the stairs. Please wait for the announcement on the official website of the event.

Q13. When happens if I fail the physical examination?

If you fail the physical examination at site, you will not be able to participate in the race and no refund will be given. You can receive the souvenir at site.

Q14. Can we receive the finisher's souvenirs the day after the race?

Finisher Souvenirs must be received before 17:00 on the day of event. No gifts will be given after the time indicated.

Q15. Could we carry the backpack?

Due to the narrow space of the stairs and to prevent collision among runners, only fanny packs are allowed throughout the entire race, which will be determined by the judge and staff. Please refer to the provision on Article 8 of “Regulations” from the racing rules.

Q16. Some items are missing from my race packet?

Please take photos for record and contact the racing affairs department (Chinese Taipei Road Running Association, TEL: 02-2585-5659). The staff will help you with subsequent handling.

Q17. Is there a plan B in case of a natural disaster (such as typhoon or earthquake) or a rainy day?

In case where the event is cancelled or postponed due to force majeure clauses or any unforeseen circumstances, registrants should not object to the decision. Please refer to “Announcement of Refund or Postponement” for details of the rules.
The relevant announcement will be made on the official Facebook and the “news” on the website before the event.
The organizer reserves the right to modify the content of event and clauses, and adjust the final interpretation. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Q18. If I don’t feel well that day, can I ask for a substitute runner?

Please assess your health condition and physical ability before registering for the race. Once the registration process is completed, no replacement or substitution for another person will be allowed.
