Starting Order and Related Procedures

1. Participating Runners or Teams invited by the Organizers shall be given priority in the starting order.
2. Individual runners who have participated in events that attain the “A” standard qualification criteria from 2015 to 2017 are required to provide the records of certification by April 7, 2017, after having already completed the on-line registration and payment transaction procedures. The organizers will then arrange the starting order of the first 101 participants who have attained and verified their “A” standard (refer to Table below) while the remaining participants will be lined up based on the numerical sequence generated from completing the on-line registration procedures.
3. The organizers reserve the right to adjust the starting order and number of entrants as may be needed.
4. Please be prepared to arrive and depart at the venue within the time frame stipulated in the race bulletin. Participating teams and runners who have not started before the end of the clearance period will not be permitted to depart and will be forfeited from the competition. For instance, if an individual runner does not report to start prior to the stipulated clearance time, the individual will then be forfeited from the competition.

Qualifications:
1. Individuals aged 15-69 (born between 1948 to 2002) are eligible to participate in the race event. However, individuals under 18 years old (born between 1999 to 2002) are required to provide the acknowledgement and authorization declaration form with his/her parent or guardian’s signature after completing the registration and payment by April 13, 2017.

2. Celebrity Relay Teams:
Each team will comprise of 20 team members who will complete the course of 91 floors in a relay format (Teams to be invited by the Organizers).

3. Individuals: Register at the 2017 CTBC.TAIPEI 101 Run-up website: http://www.taipei101-runup.com.tw
Please submit the registration online, the quotas are limited to 3,000 participants. 1,000 quotas are reserved for CTBC credit card(included VISA debit card) users. Payment transactions must be completed in order to successfully complete the registration procedure.

4. Corporate Team:
Open to all corporate or organizations and each team is formed by 20 members. Number of Teams is limited to 30 with eligibility according to entry order. The top three winning teams should provide the proofs to verify that all of the team’s participating members belong to the respective Team Organization; otherwise the Team will be disqualified from the competition and the next fastest team will receive the award.

Special Notice
1. All persons may only participate in one type of competition (Celebrity Relay, Individual, Corporate Team). If it has been confirmed that a person has registered or participated in more than one type of category, the person shall be withdrawn from the competition and not be entitled to a refund.

2. If it has been confirmed that a person has used banned substances or is responsible for any type of fraudulent activity while participating in the competition, the person and/or the Team that the person is a member of (if applicable) will be withdrawn from the competition (with no ranking nor result) and be subject to further investigation and legal consequences where applicable.

1. After a health check, corporate team racers must follow the directions of the staff and run in sequence according to the bib number.

2. We will release one racer every 2 seconds, at an interval of 1 minutes for every corporate teams.The race need to pause for 5 minutes in every 20 corporate teams for site preparation. Corporate team racers must follow the directions of the staff and wait for another time to restart if they miss the starting time for running.

3. The deadline for the health check is 13:10; those who cannot finish the check within the deadline will be disqualified.

4. We will lockdown 30 minutes after the last corporate team starts running. Those who cannot finish the race before lockdown will be regarded as giving up the race and cannot get the certificate.

How to register:

Registration Period:
March 31 2017 (Friday) at 12:00 to April 7 (Friday) 2017 at 17:00 or once the quotas are full.

1.Individuals:
Please select payment transaction method and make the payment by the deadline. No changes to the registration information will be permitted after completing registration.

Credit Card Payment:
Payment can be made by Master Card, VISA or JCB Credit Card transactions. Participants are eligible to get 10% off registration fee if they use CTBC VISA credit/debit card to make the payment. Organizer will donate 5% of the registration fee which is paid by CTBC VISA credit/debit card to CTBC Charity Foundation.

7-ELEVEN ibon Payment:
Payment can be made via the 7-ELEVEN ibon service --- please be aware that the payment transaction must be completed by 14:00 on the following calendar day in order to successfully complete the registration procedure.

2. Corporate Team:
All teams must submit the Personal Declaration Form, Team Name List, Certificate of Incorporation and registration fee to the Chinese Taipei Road Running Association(CTRRA) in person or by post. ※ Notice
1. Participants should be aware of and acknowledge the degree of fitness require to complete the TAIPEI 101 RUN UP, and understand that once the registration has been completed, one cannot make any changes to the registration information, including names, categories, vest sizes…etc. No refund will be made due to personal negligence.

2. L size will be granted in case no size is indicated during the registration. There is no guarantee that your selected size will be available; vest sizes given will be subject to stock availability.

1. Race Pack Collection:
After the runners successfully completed the race registration, please pick up your race pack as follows:
☉ In person:

❶ Please bring along your email pick-up notice.
❷ If you are unable to pick up your race pack, you may authorize a third party to collect your race pack by presenting your pick-up notice with his/her ID card. The CTRRA will not be responsible for any mistakes made.
❸ If you have not received your pick-up notice after registration, please check your registration info on the CTRRA website and bring your registration info and ID with you for picking up your race pack.

☉ Race Pack Received by Mail (In Taiwan only)
If you wish to receive your race pack by mail, please indicate on the application form of registration (additional postal fee is required)
❶ Please provide the mailing address on the entry form for the race pack delivery. The race pack includes bib number, champion chip and souvenir, which will be mailed to the address 3 days prior to the race event.
❷ The CTRRA will not be responsible if the race packs cannot be delivered. If your race pack is returned to the CTRRA, you can pick it up at the CTRRA office during office hours (Monday to Friday 08:30 to 12:00 and 13:30 to 17:30) up to one week after the race event (May 8 – May 12). One week after the race event, all the unclaimed race packs shall be discarded.
❸ A postage fee must be paid along with the entry fee: Individuals-NT$100 per person, Corporate Team- NT$600 per Team.

☉ Race Pack Pick-up at the Race Event (Please avoid pick-up on race day if possible)
❶ If you are unable to pick-up your race pack in person before the race date, you may select to pick up your race pack on the race day with an additional cost NT$600.
❷ Please pick up your race pack at the site from 07:00 to 12:00 by presenting the pick-up notice. NO race pack collection can be made after 12:00 on the race day.
* If you do not pick up your race Pack on time, you will be disqualified and has not permitted to enter the race course.
* Participants who have registered but are not able to pick up their race pack on or before the race day, they may collect the race packs on May 8 – 12 during working hours at the CTRRA Office. All unclaimed race packs will be discarded after the due day.

Race Regulations

1. It is the sole responsibility of a participant to ensure that he/she is physically in healthy condition. Participants should understand the risks involved in taking part in the race and acknowledge the fact without any medical assistance. Any person who is pregnant or suffering from high blood pressure, chronic diseases, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and asthma...etc., should not participate in the race. On the race day, each runner will undergo a health check before taking part in the race. Then retrieve your qualification number. All runners must run in sequence according to the qualification number. Only the runners with the qualification number may enter the race course.

2. If a runner still fail to pass the health check after taking some rest, the runner will be disqualified without any refund.

3. Please wear appropriate shoes and clothing for the race and refer to the race bulletin and website for your allotted time slot for the race.

4. Race start times may be adjusted depending on the actual conditions. Please follow the on-site staff instructions for the race starting order and instructions.

5. Race Timing Chip:
「2017 CTBC. TAIPEI 101 RUN UP」will provide contestant the Race Timing Chip to record the race times. All racers will receive the chip along with the racing bib and souvenir when checking in. Please refer to the provided instructions or ask one of the staffs at the race site for any inquiries on how to wear the race timing chip. Final race results will be based on the times recorded by the chip and will be displayed or announced by the event organizers.
6. Violations:
◆ Runners who commit the following violations will be disqualified from the competition with no refund
❶ Not being fully clothed or wearing proper clothing (for example - no slippers).
❷ Removal of any clothing items during the competition.
❸ Making loud noises during the competition.
❹ Carrying prohibited items. For safety concern, all belongings such as backpacks, water bottles and any other items which could endanger the safety of participants are prohibited from the race course. Please follow the staffs' instructions.
❺ Runners must pass the metal detector on-site inspection before the race, anyone who doesn’t cooperate will be disqualified.

◆ Runners who commit the following violations will be disqualified from the competition.
❶ Taking the elevator up or receive assistance from another person or party during the competition is prohibited.
❷ If you need to take a rest, please inform the staff and follow the directions to the rest area. Please avoid stopping or sitting down in the runner pathway.
❸ Any runners using substitute runners will be disqualified. They will be banned from future participation in any CTRRA activities or races for up to one year per website announced.

7. Disputes
❶ Contestant Disputes: Contestants cannot dispute with the referees or officials in the race.
❷ Dispute Procedure: Should there be any dispute, please inform the organizer within ten minutes after finishing the race. A deposit of NT$3,000 should be submitted at the same time. If the review committee conclude that the dispute is not justified, then the NT$3,000 deposit will not be returned.


Prizes and awards

If the amount of cash awarded is in excess of NTD$20,001, 10% tax will be deducted from winners who are citizens of Taiwan, and 20% with holding tax will be deducted from winners who are non-citizens of Taiwan (with proof of ID photocopy).

❶ Record Breaking Bonus: A bonus cash prize will be awarded to the fastest winners who set the new TAIPEI 101 RUN UP record irregardless of nationality.

❷ Individual Award - Asian & Oceanian Towerrunning Championship: The 2017 CTBC・TAIPEI 101 RUN UP event has also been designated as the Towerrunning World Association's " Asian & Oceanian Towerrunning Championship ". A cash prize bonus will be awarded to the five fastest male and female winners respectively who are citizens of Asian and Oceanian countries (refer to the country list below). In addition, Taiwan's male and female first place winners will also be awarded cash prize which is limited to citizens of the Taiwan only. However, the receipt of these awards will be limited to one time only should dual-citizenship situation occurs.

Notice
(please read carefully)
01. Do not register if there are any health concerns such as heart diseases, pregnancy…etc. The organizers will not be held responsible for persons withholding such informations.

02. Water station service will be set up on several floors between 1F and 91F.For safety precaution, runners are not allowed to take water away from these stations.

03. Storage of Personal Belongings: (Location: Fountain Plaza)
❶ If participants wish to check in their personal belongings, please use racing bib number to check in as well as to retrieve your personal belongings. Please follow the instructions in the bulletin and arrive at the baggage deposit area at least 30 minutes beforehand.

❷ Storage service will begin at 07:00 on the race day, All bags must be checked out before 15:00. Please do not store any valuable belongings, the event organizers will not be responsible for the loss of these or any items.

04. Participants who has registered but are unable to pick up their race packs may pick up during the working hours on May 8 –12 at the CTRRA office. All unclaimed race packs will be discarded after the due date.

05. Please take safety precaution. Be sure of your own condition before undertaking the feat. The referees or doctors reserve the right to blow whistle should doubtful situation occurs.

06. The Race Timing Chip is used to record the race times. Please refer to the instructions or enquire one of the onsite staffs. The event organizers will not be held responsible for loss of record on race timing chips due to personal negligence.

07. Please keep safe custody of your race timing chips and bib numbers. The Organizers will not replace any lost numbers or chips, resulting in automatic forfeiture from the race.

08. All participants shall grant authorization to use of video recording, photos…etc, of the race event for promotional and publication purposes.

09. Any changes to race information will be announced by the CTRRA. If the race is cancelled due to force majeure, a refund of 50% will be made if the entry fee has been fully paid-in.
Refund Method: For individuals paid by credit card, the amount will be automatically refunded into credit card account ; For individuals paid by ibon, money orders will be sent via registered mail to the registered address. For corporate teams, registered mails with money orders will be sent to the team leader.

10. Announcements or revisions to race regulations will be formally announced by the event organizers and posted on the CTRRA website.

11. In case of discrepancies between the Chinese and English versions, the Chinese version shall prevail. CTRRA and the organizers reserve the right to interpret and amend all rules/terms & conditions.

General Liabilities Insurance

1. Doing sport keeps one healthy. Yet, one must ensure his / her adequate sleep the night before the competition, and finish breakfast at least 2 hours before the race. The first-aid service will provide first-aid for emergency situation related to the race. Any complications arising out of any personal illness will not be covered by accident insurance. The organizer will provide general liabilities insurance with coverage of NT$1 million for every runner. (See policy terms for details of the insurance.)

2. The insured shall be liable for the compensation of third party injuries, death or property damage in such occurrence during the policy period. In the case of claims by third parties, we shall be liable to the insured for:
❶ Accidents on pathway, the insured or its employees as prescribed in the policy.
❷ Accidents are happening to the insured inside the buildings, passages, machineries or other work equipments.

3. Exclusion by the insurance:
❶ Injuries due to personal illness.
❷ Symptoms caused by personal illness, ranging from cardiovascular disorders, shock, heart diseases, heat exhaustion, diabetes, heatstroke, altitude illness, epilepsy, dehydration…etc.
